Re: The 80’s rule.

There's only a small handfull of songs from the 2000's on up to now that i'd play 30 years from now. There are PLENTY of songs i still play from the 1990's/80's/70's/60's and even the 50's wich was before i was born.

Today's music is disposable and without longevity like many old classics that ...

Re: Relab is playing referral games

To use Maselec as a Single-Band Relab created a short-cut. Just hold down the Shift key and then turn any Threshold and they all will turn simultaneously. The same is true with Attack, Ratio, Release, etc just hold down Shift and turn one and they all will turn and share the same Values. Also turn ...

Re: Relab is playing referral games

By end of last year I eventually bought Relab‘s REV6000 (some early access and loyality discounts applied). 8)
The current Maselec isn‘t my cup of tea at all, as I never do multiband anyway.
(but it‘s surely a great device)

I don‘t expect Warp69 to return to the Scope platform in it‘s current ...

Re: Relab is playing referral games

Relab seems to be on a roll! They're releasing some truly amazing plugins. They are about to release the Maselec Multiband Mastering compressor wich sounds VERY transparent and smooth. Relab certainly is one of the best out there if not THE BEST, IMO.

Even some of Warp69 older plugins that he ...

Re: new Computer, still Scope?

I would hate to have to make music without SCOPE. It still has its advantages in the modern era and still compliments a new computer. MANY of the devices still sound great and REALtime processing/Routing are always usefull, forever really. XITE-1 is largely future proof with so many different types ...

Re: XITE-1 PC CONFIGURATION REFERENCE

The i7 12700k is a wise choice and i doubt you'll regret it. I actuallu like it better than the newer i7 14700k because the 12700k runs at a faster base speed then the newer wich are all of the same Socket and family. The 12th generation wich is the i7 12700k have a good balance of speed and cores ...

Re: Relab is playing referral games

The referrel program of Relab looks like a good idea. It's not my style so i won't personally participate but i also know that in this tuff Economy developers have to get clever and do what they can to sell plugins. Not just the tuff Economy but also the niche nature of the Audio Industry forces ...

No idea if I even need to buy but thought I'd pass it on in case anyone's been fence sitting on their stuff:

I suspect most who demo their reverbs will find they need them. Have you tried Relab's reverbs? Warp69 is THE BEST REVERB ...

Re: UVI Falcon

That's good Falcon's learning curve is'nt that big to you. You're probably faster then me at that. I try not to buy too many big synths/workstations as i felt too much of my time went into learning them, almost like learning a DAW and with Reason it is a DAW to. I've had GALAXIAS with my Roland ...

Re: UVI Falcon

Congrats on the beast! Hope you can tame it, meaning those type mega-instrument workstations have a serious learning curve generally. Their capabilities are mind-blowing compared to the synths of old. Mega-Workstations and sophisticated channel-strips/multi-effectors are a large part of the might of ...

Re: Vocoder vst recommendations

Waves plugins are cheap and great sounding but the catch is Waves Central and WUP. I am personally willing to accept those things but i know everyone is not.

Thx for mentioning WUP !
That´s why I hate WAVES as a company per sé.
I don´t buy anything again since they rendered my Waves ...

Re: Vocoder vst recommendations

Waves Ovox is low-priced but sounds high-quality and pretty flexible, even has a built in Arp. Waves has a lot of different plugins for electronic vocals including Vocal Bender and Harmonizer. It's one of their specialties. Waves plugins are cheap and great sounding but the catch is Waves Central ...

is there a more recent PCIe option on the market?

XITE-1 is most recent and most future-proof and is PCIe. It's the better solution but the older PCI cards should be fine to if your computer supports the older PCI standard.

Re: The end of an era

Yeah, companies seem more focused on having a Cash-Cow rather than just making a great product of excellence that people want to buy for a good price.

To be honest i'm not totally against Subscriptions i'm totally against Subscriptions-ONLY. I generally don't want Subs for myself but don't have a ...

Re: The end of an era

Atleast they are still giving away the free Cakewalk DAW, BUT it is not much of a gift since it requires re-activation every few weeks, wich means it's future is uncertain. The free DAW is just a good transition DAW while i fully migrate to Tracktion and Reason.

Hopefully Bandlab will wise up and ...

Well, i guess it is "The End of a Era". Bandlab just released a new version of Sonar but unfortunately it's Subscription-only for Members of their hobbyist Bandlab Artist creation collaboration software platform.

I'm sure there are plenty of tasks/things that can be allocated to efficiency cores.

Not using E-Cores on Windows O/S DAWs would be a utter disaster since most of the i7 and i9 Cores are E-Cores. Only 8 Cores out of 24 Cores are P-Cores on the intel i9.

I don't know much of anything about ...

Re: Reaper DAW

When i tried Reaper many years ago it was not that intuitive to me and seemed like i needed extra steps to do the things i did in another DAW. But it was'nt just Reaper i have trouble learning new DAWs anyways. My mind does'nt like big changes.

Benchmarks in years past consistantly showed Reaper ...
