Re: Reason 12 is almost here!

I looked on Waves website Bud, and unfortunately Studiorack is only compatible with Reason 12 and with Regards to Waves plugins compatibility only v13 and v14 can run in Studiorack v14. Some of my Waves plugins are v12 wich mean i'll need to upgrade a few plugins for compatibility with Studiorack. S...

Re: Reason 12 is almost here!

Waves just upgraded their StudioRack chainer channelstrip plugun, and it now Hosts ANY VST3 plugins from ANY developer and not just Waves plugins. This might be a good way to use VST3 plugins in Reason. I will definitely try it as StudioRack is a nice plugin on its own. StudioRack can chain up to 8 ...

Re: Reason 12 is almost here!

I have Bitwig as well. Reason still has some interesting bits, seems mostly stable here if I avoid vst's. Plenty of other hosts for that. I also have way more crap than necessary for my current lack of output, but I did just get an Xite in the mail... Congrats on the XITE-1. She definitely will add...

Re: Reason 12 is almost here!

Reason 12 sucks for me. I had to roll back to Reason 11 months ago. Way more stable. And I´m still pi##ed about RSN VST3 rackplugin not being MIDI multitimbral up to now and MIDI program changes not working in RSN at all. On VST3, I give a s##t in general ´cause Steini decided for MIDI program chan...

Re: Reason 12 is almost here!

To all who use Reason, you may want to check your Account and see how many Rewards points you may have. Reason-Studios is doing Rewards points again and you can get a free plugin with them. I had 74 Rewards points wich translate to $74 and it allowed me to get the new Vocoder wich is currently on sa...

Re: Hardware synths vs Scope synths vs Software synths

My favorite Banco De Gaia album is his first, which is very raw in terms of production values (home synths and cheap mixer). Likewise much of the early jungle and techno/trance were not made on stellar gear. Boring perhaps by some of today's standards, but production values != vibe anyway. Yep, qui...

Re: Hardware synths vs Scope synths vs Software synths

I've always viewed SCOPE as 'Hardware-Quality' and certainly Creamware did as well hence ASB's, Klangbox's, etc wich housed SCOPE algorithms. One of the faces of XITE-1 is a hardware sound-module looking a lot like others thats been on the market. I have my eyes on a few other OTB hardware synths an...

Re: DAWman / Jimmy

Very sad news for this to happen to such a good person. He truly was a one-of-a-kind personality and truly a larger-than-life personality. The funniest and most outgoing, he had a knack for reaching out to everyone in a freindly and very outgoing way. There will be a large voide here due to his abse...

Re: What Version of Scope etc for XTC mode ?

I think v4.5 was the last XTC mode. It's been so long since i tried it that i could be wrong. Hopefully someone else chimes in and confirm.

I hated leaving Ironaxe behind, and still trying to get it working in X64 DAW.

Re: Twitter has been bought by Elon Musk

Sure, he has not 'fully aquired' Twitter but the process has begun and its reported as a done deal cause the media on both sides of the isle see little obsticle ahead. The left is criticizing him the right is praising him but both see it as a done deal. Even the President see it as a done deal that'...

Twitter has been bought by Elon Musk

Elon Musk won the battle with Twitter's stubborn board members and forced a sell of Twitter wich was mainly being used for Government Censorship, propaganda, and information control in recent years. Elon has been talking about the importance of free-speech and complaining about the lack of free spee...

Re: Soundwide / Soundstacks (free plugins)

The PA Subscription Model is a decent one. There is a big difference between Rental-Subscriptions and the PA's Ownership-Subscription wich has no Usery penalty (the Subscription does not cost more than flat out buying the plugin). The Modern Era is paradoxically richer and poorer than the past. Toda...

Re: UAD going Native

there's plenty of load balancing potential. Have you ever worked with protools? I mean, for every plugin there, you can simply click a "move to DSP" or "move to native", that's literally all there is to it, and that's what impressed me. And of course, full presets compatibility ...

Re: UAD going Native

Subscriptions make sense if you have a business model that supports it, and I applaud companies that offer direct sale and subscription models at the same time for their business acumen. Dropping non-subscription sale options on the other hand is (imho) opting to not support the 'middle' in the pro...

Re: UAD going Native

Capitol Chambers canes their 480L imo. They give Relabs version away with their lame ass Volts I think  The old-school reverbs chambers, plates, and springs reverbs are generally my favorites. There is more of a 'magic' to them over most modern verbs. Those first-generation mechanical reverbs a...

UAD going Native

Subscription ofcourse. UA just released a handfull of their plugins for Subscription with ILOK option for those who own the DSP-card counter-part plugins. I'm sure all users will get ilok options as UA realise like Roland an PA that Subscription-only does'nt sell so well. Subscriptions are generally...

Re: Scope appreciation thread!

SCOPE is still the heart of my studio and likely always will be. It's such a powerfull solution that just works for me. Very few interfaces are good at being the heart of your studio since all have huge flars and most don't integrate all your gear quite like SCOPE and the portable 1u rack design was...
