I don't think I ever said the Solaris would not handle poly AT over MIDI, or that it was too expensive - the real problem is that there are no available keyboard beds that we can purchase to put in the Solaris that can send poly AT, as far as I have been told. Thats great news if you are implying I...

it is awsome
The Haken Fingerboard is awesome. I have seen it in use w/ the Capabara, and it's a great way to perform. It works well with real time apps like Kyma, and Scope. The performance seminar was @ the college here UNLV, and their expeimental music class. It was used along with Ableton Live playing and m...

Every time I've seen a pic of that modular, I've thought it was the most unmusical-looking thing I've ever seen. CS-80 filter http://www.synthtech.com/motm480.html GX-1 filter http://www.synthtech.com/motm485.html The CS80 had 16 of these filters with independent Aftertouch and a CS exclusive Envel...

I would take two ends off of the units, right or left and lay them on a piece of paper. find the angle you would like for the upper one and trace thier outlines. you may want to shorten the distance between the two so they are nice and close to each other. draw lines connecting the two. I would dra...

The Andromeda was specced and even documented as responding to poly aftertouch (the kbd itself didn't support it) - but they never got it going before development was shut down The ION and Micron do support it though, and are very fine VA synths in their own right. I've got a nice ELKA master keybo...

Personally I would love to hear a prophet with the CS80 filtersection swapped in, all with polyphonic Aftertouch.......... :) i would rather hear good filters and sound synthesis from John Bowen than from a VSTi-based Arturia creation - i have to say i've found their emulations lacklustre and i don...

we should not mix up cs-80 and CS-80V. The CS-80V is not 160 lbs ... :) maybe my fault, I should have written CS-80V instead of CS-80 when quoting you. Ah yes, 8) but then you would have misquoted me grasshopper 8) http://x95.xanga.com/a4883321c2d69112712902/m80409420.jpg Do you think creamw...

Cmon, Smarten up Nothing cuts through a mix better than a CS80......(if it is set up adequetly), It is a Sonic Power house that belittles the Prophet 5 and Smokes the Obie>>> A true test to the CS80 Emulation which I have done is with PolyAT....... And I will repeat myself here .The CS-V sounds very...

The CS80 is much more Analog than the Andromeda... you are joking aren`t you? that toy doens`t sound remotly analog and by far not as good as the andromeda. Please do yourself a favour and get better speakers or use headphones. Do yourself a favour and grow some eyes and ears.... The Yamaha ...

The CS80V 1.6 can do those lush pads...... ftp://ftp2.arturia.com/samples/demoweb/CS80V_demo.mp3 I own a real CS80 (1978) and the Cs80V is scary close to it....... The CS80 is much more Analog than the Andromeda... you can individualy detune the oscillators in rotation and detune panel 1 and panel 2...

the sound depends on the used string itself; for the string itself as an oscillator the 3 controls are damping , ( controls the highs) decay (duration) and Inharm (intonation) on the position of pluging the string (not only the location on the string also the angle of the pluging) on the pluging st...

in that domain it's a useless piece of crap, or did you find the hidden button for body attributes influenced by tune, time, position, playing intensity... ? Sympathetic resonance ? Do you really want me to post a chromatic sample upwards on a single string of my bass to prove that this thing is st...

Ha Ha,The jokes on you....
to be honest my rant has only one reason - such sounds can be done on any decent FM Synth or the PythonPro (read Modular...) under SFP. But this company constantly claims to be a step ahead in 'realism' of acoustic simulation and in the end it's just - marketing BS Tom  .......oh Tom....... :l...

The best strings I have heard are Modeled, not sampled and come from A.A.S. String Studio..... http://www.applied-acoustics.com/images/stringstudio_panelb_small.gif The following samples display more versatality of the instrument(more of the picked and hammer string sounds like guitar kalimba,clav,)...
