Use the drivers in the Win2K folder of the 3.01 driver package. I used WinXP with Pulsar 2 and it was running fine, smoother than on ME or 98 actually, but then I added a Luna 2 and suddenly I could use only one midi in and out port! I heard some other people had this problem too and I got no help f...

I'm a raver babyyyyy... so hard house/trance, techno is what gets me going in clubs where I spend my weekends. I don't have much free time to listen to music but when I do it's experimental electronic / ambient, lush house, or even classical, depending on the mood I'm in. Toni L. http://www....

Not in Finland. I've asked the largest component stores in my city and the whole country, and none seem to have the parts. That leaves only one option I guess - order from Digi-key in the US using my Debit card (don't have a credit one coz I'm poor  and get my card frozen when the bank finds o...

Really?
In my experience, XP can handle more audio tracks, more effects, more DXI synths, lower latency, faster redraws in Pulsar while sequencer running, etc...
My system: Duron 800mhz on Abit KT7 (probably worst Socket-A mobo ever) and 380mb ram.

XP was a clean install. I didn't install pulsar during XP install because I first had to download v3. Only had to install Pulsar v3. once for it to work. Later I added Luna 2 and as XP started it recognized it as a Creamware DSP card and automatically found a driver for it (Pulsar v3. W2k driver). I...

I'd wait for NForce and get an AMD XP. That combo should rock - specwise, so it would be smart to wait until someone tests it first ofcourse (Subhuman)

AFAIK. all you need for running any other CW card with Pulsar is the Pulsar driver. My system (XP) recognized my new Luna as a Creamware DSP card and I didn't need any other drivers. The Pulsar software still recognizes all physical Luna connections and can use Luna devices in my projects. Toni L. h...

This is a very long shot and probably doesn't help but anyway, if these settings can be found in your Bios: - enable PCI master read caching - set PCI Arbitration mechanism to PCI (opposed to CPU or normal or whatever) These two tweaks made the most difference with my setup (Abit kt7). Actually I find it pretty hard to clip Pulsar's A/D convertors in normal use. Even if the meters in Pulsar mixer are going way past clipping, it doesn't sound like that. They seem to have almost analog-like headroom.. anyone notice this too or am I imagining?
