Re: site migration (july 10 2024)

Thanks !
yes apparently all went fine (had a weird home page for some reason, seems ok now).
the new host is "Hostinger" , and should be faster than the previous one ("Name Hero", too slow 3 times the price).

Re: LBH-LE Dual Vintage style Step Sequencer (UPDATE April 2014)

There is only LBH VIII presets, and they can be loaded in LBH-LE through the "Patterns" preset list. If you have an old version of blackBox II, you may be able to load the presets through the main preset list. I've uploaded the LBH VIII list, and the conversion as Pattern list for LBH-LE. ...

Re: LBH-LE Dual Vintage style Step Sequencer (UPDATE April 2014)

repaired: (selection now points to "Grid" preset list).

I will keep it today to check if small optimizations can be done (selection of the surface panel in more areas than now, or other stuff). I will try to upload this revised version today.

Re: LBH-LE Dual Vintage style Step Sequencer (UPDATE April 2014)

apparently the "Grid" preset list replaced the "Gates-All" preset list, which is still inside LBH LE but not accessible, eventhough still connected to the preset list sequencer. At the same time, the "Grid" is not connected to the preset sequencer. I must check why it h...

Re: Dubby 3 (Dubby 4- Del-Ray 2 Update)

The Dubby 4 and Del Ray 2 updates are available for Dubby users ! it simply adds an "outback" circuit which is like sending back the output to the input, except that it happens in places that are normally unaccessible. Also includes a filter and the Outback can be sent manually or automati...

Spring Eq - M

Spring EQ made to be easy to control with hardware MIDI controllers, using 4 or 5 controls. PEQ4 was not satisfactory in this respect (changing bands is complicated), that's the main reason it was made. While primarily intended for use with spring reverb, by boosting a single band by 24dB, it can ce...

Mix 12D (BlackBox III add-on)

Mix 12 D adds headphones outputs with up to 12dB gain and L/R reversed. It makes it easier to switch headphones and speakers when your mix is not normalized, without needing to change the mix main output level. Also allows to remote control headphone levels with Midi CC potentiometer. More info: htt...

Re: External (non-Scope) tools of our trade

I was reading about a guy who got rid of crackles and pop when making music, on his 12600 cpu, using ParkControl. >>> https://bitsum.com/parkcontrol/ Looks complicated but I installed it with the default settings and so far all is perfect (it happened occasionally previously, but looks like it won't...

Re: Reaper DAW

It is not intuitive and takes a bit of time to customize, because terminology is not the same/similar to other DAWs. That's why I did not go for Reaper previously. I do it now more because of recent native plugins that work as they should in Reaper. As I am customizing it, I find more and more reaso...

Re: is Intel integrated graphics (non F cpu) worth it ?

Thanks for the input smits. Since last time, I've seen several benchmark and the version with iGPU outperforms the F version by a few percents, with Adobe software. And all what people said here confirms it. The improvement is sometimes only 1 or 2%, but it represents more than 3 to 6 days per year ...

Re: is Intel integrated graphics (non F cpu) worth it ?

I quite agree and disagree: I use it in a legal context (text analysis) and it is still very random sometimes, so it cannot be trusted for legal work. Also, it is true that replies degrade over iterations, hence the importance of making a good prompt from the start. The problem is that all these AI ...

Re: is Intel integrated graphics (non F cpu) worth it ?

Thanks a lot for all the feedback. I think I will go for iGpu, for all you said and also because there is one situation it might be helpful... if the graphic card breaks :-) it may give a few extra days to select a replacement, ie, not be in absolute emergency... And if it also helps with encoding/d...
