My rack is one of those closed kinds, that doubles up as a transport case, I guess it doesn't allow for enough ventilation.

Now I have the XITE on a laptop stand, with nothing near it. The fact that it's tilted forward also reminds me of not putting anything on top ...

I took it off the rack and have it on a laptop stand on top of all the equipment. It's been running for 24h and still holding, so I guess it's the rack that lets the heat build up too much. We do get a lot of heat here, but right now room temp is about 24ºC ...

I have it racked, with 1u space above and below, but still...

Last year, my XITE-1 unit started acting up, continually refusing to be master clock or accepting sync from anywhere. I sent it to SC, and got a new board installed. When I checked it (briefly), it worked, so I put it up for sale and stored it away.

I had the same problem on a windows 10 pc, audio dropouts every 5 minutes or so. I tried many things, eventually, disabling the LAN card on the BIOS sorted it. Not the best option, but I had already updated all drivers, went through the optimizations, Latency Checker, etc etc, but nothing worked ...

I also get that error message on the XITE-1, but for DSP 7.

I have other issues with the unit since Scope 5, which appear to be hardware related, so I can't really expect normal operation. I thought it also had to do with the hardware. But this message only appeared after installing Scope 7, and ...

Great work, Faxi, I really appreciate it, and hope that SC can have a look at the research and maybe find a stable solution to include in Scope 7.

I don't really use the STS much, and my XITE unit is a bit flaky, but I was curious, and managed to get it working by following the detailed procedures ...

If you go to view-samplerate, is any sample rate detected? Can you set it to internal sync?

I've been having similar problems with my XITE-1, although the meters work, there is no sound coming out. It doesn't lock to internal samplerate. But I found out only yesterday that if I press the bottom ...

Haven't done this in a while, but Cubase used to have an option to send clock via ASIO. One of the ASIO source modules in Scope has a clk pad, which can be connected to VDAT providing sync.

I have both the prophecy and the Z1. Although they share the same underlying tech, they are totally different, the Z1 much more powerful, but the Prophecy is a joy to play. A bit tedious to program, but can do unique sounds

I hinted at "luck", but am now leaning towards "heat". When I brought in the other PC, I had spent a few hours in frustration already, so maybe it was warm enough by then. When back to the original pc, all booted well.

I'll check with new cables tomorrow. What is interesting is that it seems to appear when the unit is powered up. After a while it turns AES/EBU off, and is rock solid for the rest of the day, so it seems to get better with heat.

I can't solve the update problem, but it all seems to be related to the ZLink.

Today I was having the same problem, no SR, and AES/EBU Led lit. I took off both Zlink cables, and the unit went back to Master, and working. Resetting the cables, first the zLink indicators light up, then the AES/EBU ...

Both machines are connected to the internet. The Windows 10 is up-to-date, but the Win7 has a problem with the auto updater - it doesn't work anymore after an update Could be that, It was more or less about the same time the problems started.

The other PC is also a laptop, so the EC card, cable, everything is the same. Different installation, though, and different OS, the one I'm working on is Win7, the other Win10.

I tried it twice, and it worked, but it could have been luck. With this PC there's a chance everything will load ...

It happens when the A16 is both turned on or not- I didn't disconnect the z-link cables. Changing samplerate doesn't work, nor does reseating the Express Card.
