The only recording we have, is a reference DAT from FOH engineers Yamaha board. I have not recorded anything with my DAW yet. But I will be playing with VDAT while we're on the road. When the gig is over I plan on doing alot of archiving of our old stuff. It's still on LP's. Guess I just gave away ...

J3RK,
I'm still quite green with the forum here, but would love to see your Waldorf emu. Would it be posted in the Modular section?

I had my first live gig with GS3/Scope. Alot of people were floored when they found out I was using a DAW. Not one hiccup, period. When I go back out in Sept. I will have incorporated the ASB by then, therefore eliminating all hardware synths, but have my Oberheim XPander ready to go just in case ...

I have recently demo'd the Minimax ASB in California, unfortunately Las Vegas with all it's music stores is still generic in it's approach to the local scene. My God these people still think that Yamaha, Korg, Roland, are the only companies that exist. I suppose that their flooring plans are at play ...

Dear Nestor, DR1 & 2 are very good CD's, have them both in EIII/Akai format, but if you are looking for beds of sound, especially evolving beds, and segues from beyond, check out Ilio's Transfusion. Excellant for intros, segues, and all around psychedelic tripping. Inversion, and Reverse sounds are ...

Please try to let me know of any difficulties you might have. I agree that the workflow is much more sensible, and 4 live performance it seems like good old midi sequencing, plus audio loops without a hitch.

Speaking of playing music. I've played every venue imaginable, and have gained a wealth of knowledge, and trouble. The fact that I continue to do this is a testament in itself. I will play till I can't. BTW, I have always made a decent living, raised one family, and have no intentions on doing ...

Chisel, are you using this for live performance? I am curious to see how successful this app is with Scope. I've been watching this app bloom for a while now and your success needs to be known. Cause if I were to use a second computer with a VST Host, that would be my choice with FX Teleport, or ...

I hope you remedy your situation. Poor tech support bites. I've been lucky so far. I pray the ASB's don't have this fate.

As MacArthur said, I shall return. When my road trip is over, I should have plenty of tales concerning Scope/GS3 for live use. I also expect to have 1:1 XPander emulation, and if all goes right " PrymeTyme ". I suspect for legal reasons the wrong spelling. If these two items await me, this means ...

Astroman, I'm so embarresed when I read some of my first entries. You guys could tell I was green by the questions I was asking. Thank you so much for responding to all of my inquiries. Knowing I was green, you still responded, and that's what makes this place so special. When I return from my road ...

When I insert my foot, is usually goes all the way. I used my old QX1 sequencer for automating vocal FX back in the 80's for a local group, but need to learn more about Dimmer's and such. Promise I will study more before I ask any more stupid questions. It's just that as soon as I get jammed up on a ...

As you can tell, I'm stoked. Not enough time to delve into VDAT just yet. I was wondering Nestor. You seem like you are juiced in with VDAT, do you think it's possible to use VDAT for vocals only, and trigger it with an external hardware sequencer without adding too much overhead to the DSP's? It ...

I would love a VSTi Host Module. For the simple reason of having a MIDI sequencer. I've heard VSTi instruments, they are obviously marketed for people born after the analog days, i.e. 1990. Right now I run GS3 through Scope, and have the ability to use VST FX, don't like those much either. However a ...

Dear LHong, I've got an ancient, but very good Oberheim MC3000 Midi controller. It works perfect with GS3, but I'm interested in controller surface/keyboard combo. The M-Audio Keystation 88 looks like it could be incorporated in Scope with your MT very well. Could you maybe give me a couple examples ...

Lexicon MPX-550 works without incident for GS3/Scope in my live rig. I use the sp/dif I/O's. I also use it as a direct box with high quality converters, plus great Room/Hall algorhythms. Sounds great with GS3 Gigapulse. There is another interesting device that Alesis made called the Q20, I have ...

There is also a thread om the RME sight.Once again proving that NF3,875P chipset are far more audio friendly and stable than the NF4 gamer dream chip. As we all suspected, the bug ridden new PCI-e technology is trouble for audio or we would have seen some new sound cards, or some type of ...

I use ECC in my live rig for that sole purpose. It's slower than CL2-2-2-5 that's for sure. But the added element of stability was for me. All SATA HDD's have cache, and ECC Algorythims, plus the Unbuffered ECC approach that Intel uses is audio friendly. It's actually in between ECC-Reg,and consumer ...

I agree with Astro about single project approach. I also incorporate that with GS3. That's one of my reasons for the external FX, plus the prefference on sound of the reverb. I load up everything one time, and won't shutdown till the gig/rehersal is over. Scope just plays B2003,minimax, and ...

Astro, When I have time, I will delve into STS for sample playback only. It reminds me of the days when I tweaked samples for the EMU/Roland stuff I had. When I'm gigging it keeps me in the room more, which keeps me out of trouble.I'm still trying to organize my stuff for one load only during the ...
