Potential LIMFAT Bug in 5.0

HI Guys, I may have discovered a bug in SCOPE 5.0. I put a Spacef LIMFAT in an insert on the stereo output bus of a project. All works fine until the next time I loaded this project - no sound output. I can only get it to work by removing LIMFAT and reloading it. This behaviour was repeatable Anyone...

Re: S|C website is down

My take on the site being down is WHO Cares! we have all got our keys. They are looking after us. My guess is they have quietly took care of the faithful and are now planning a major marketing launch for new customers without all of us clogging up their bandwidth. Sounds OK to me. Lets stay positve,...

Re: How are you going to handle the Upgrade to 5.0?

Understand devices should work, I am not concerned about keys etc. My interest was in committing (critical) projects to new software, with the possibility of having to do rework by (in 4.5) if issues arise for any reason with 5.0. Just wanted to understand people's strategies and approaches to adopt...

How are you going to handle the Upgrade to 5.0?

Now 5.0's due out next week, how are you going to handle the upgrade?
- Run 4.5 on existing projects while testing 5.0 for stability etc?
- move existing projects immediately?
- a bit of both (current projects 4.5, new on 5.0)?
It probably a no brainer but I am interested in your thoughts

Upgrade plans to SCOPE 5

Hi Guys, I am just inerested in your plans for upgrading to 5. Suppose you are working on critical projects over the next few months. All are at different stages and your clients are hanging out for delivery. What would be your upgrade strategy? I assume there will be the odd issue with software/dri...

VDat missing file

likely that file is there(scope/app/dsp), but just marked "read only". uncheck that and it should work. Hi Gary, Unfortunately I cannot locate the file anywhere in the SCOPE directories. The actual message I get is 'Can't find DSP file VDAT Recording VxD - Please check installation'. Can ...

Spot on Gary

it sounds like there's something wrong with the install.... You got it in one. On your posting, I remembered that when I built up my last PC there were problems with the install so I imported some files from the old C: drive to fix it. Can't remember what they were though. Any way alls been well 't...

Vdat Issue

Hi Shroomz, I took no offence its a good call. 'If all else fails read the book' - typical techo approach. Here are some of the symptoms which hopefully will trigger some memory. - With a Vdat on board no VU meters work (not on the VDat or any mixer loaded) - Connecting a Vdat in the output chain. I...

I could just say RTFM Shroomz, I could say I have RFTM and to some extent its true. On your advice though I went back and read the manuals more closely and I seem to be doing the right things The probelm now I look closer appears to be that the VDat never gets set as a Slave. The VRC does not recog...

Same Problem

Hi Andi, I am experiencing the same thing you describe. Set up VDat to record the stereo out of the mixer, armed I1 and I 2 hit play in Cubase and the VDat VUs show nothing. Hit Play in VDat and nothing happens. In fact SCOPE hangs altogether on some occassions. Did you find an answer to your issue?...

Found the problem

Hi there, I got Reaper working. It was pretty obvious but there ya go. I had not unclicked the "Allow projects to override device sample rate" on the bottom of the Audio Devices page. Of course SCOPE must set the samplerate and (in my case at least) any request by Reaper to do so made Reap...

Reaper crashes

Hi Guys,
I downloaded Reaper just to try it out.
I cannot get it to work with SCOPE ASIO 24 Bit.
It works fine using multimedia wave input, but latency of course is an issue.
Anyone had this issue?

A Bit of Hardware Advice Please

Hi Guys, My old P4 2.4G Gigabyte Mobo with 1G RAM is just not cutting it anymore, so its time to upgrade. I have a SCOPE Pro and a Pulsar 2 card in my current machine. I work mainly with both Cubase 4, Reason and Samplitude 9 (Mainly for mastering) - Can anyone recommend a Mobo? - Is there any Mobo'...
