And i forgot to say that I talked to a programmer and he told me that windows 98 can only utilize 512MB of ram and any more mostly just gets waisted. so I guess even though the ASUS MOBO's have 3 ram slots and I have 3- 256MB matched kingston ram chips. only 2 of them will be used anyway. so I'll ...

SPEED and performance. I'm use to using 10,000 RPM SCSI drives, good performance but Expensive, and they don't hold the amount of data that IDE drives now do.

Hey thanks for the advice
When I talked to the tech at pinnacle we discussed setting up 2-200 gig sata drives raided "0" (for my media drives) and then perhaps An IDE drive(possibly 400 gigs) for my boot drive. I could probably partition my boot drive, like you said, 1st for OS and programs and 2nd ...

I went aheqad and down loaded the p4p800-e full manual and I just didn't get it that the promise was like another card on the pci slot and with it disabled you still have all of the primary/secondary-master/slave IDE connections as well as the SATA connectors which I ...

My first creamware board was a TDAT-16, And the A-16 Optical breakout rack I bought back in early 1997. We had been using Analogue Tape recorders and large Mixing boards for our studio and I thought I would try a computer based Recorder. The first Boards creamware made were the old TrippleDat's that ...
