I currentely have a pulsar1 and 4DSP shark board and the 1st A-16. I use them with my TDAT16 in my PIII. but I want a good scope pro board

And i forgot to say that I talked to a programmer and he told me that windows 98 can only utilize 512MB of ram and any more mostly just gets waisted. so I guess even though the ASUS MOBO's have 3 ram slots and I have 3- 256MB matched kingston ram chips. only 2 of them will be used anyway. so I'll ...

Thanks for the input. I checked out the board and it's just the right config-- 5 PCI slots, although it is a socket 370 while I've been using a slot 1 processor, but at this point the processors are dirt cheap. And I remembered another board after looking at the ASUS website, The ASUS CUSL2.

Any ...

Hey everyone . I'm still using a TDAT-16 recording board, a pulsar 1, and pulsar SRB cards for my mixing and recording.I still think the old TDAT program with 80 bit processing is still superrior to most of the systems out there.
I've been using an ABIT BE6-II MOBO with the 440BX chipset and I ...

I would guess that enabling the SATA controller uses up another IRQ therefore possibly causing IRQ sharing conflicts. Other than that SATA (Raided "0")is supposed to give better performance. From what I've heard and read.

SPEED and performance. I'm use to using 10,000 RPM SCSI drives, good performance but Expensive, and they don't hold the amount of data that IDE drives now do.
Say, what if i'm streaming 4 lines of video and 24 tracks of audio and recording them back into a master video track with St. Audio. on the ...

Hey thanks for the advice

When I talked to the tech at pinnacle we discussed setting up 2-200 gig sata drives raided "0" (for my media drives) and then perhaps An IDE drive(possibly 400 gigs) for my boot drive. I could probably partition my boot drive, like you said, 1st for OS and programs and 2nd ...

I went aheqad and down loaded the p4p800-e full manual and I just didn't get it that the promise was like another card on the pci slot and with it disabled you still have all of the primary/secondary-master/slave IDE connections as well as the SATA connectors which I ...

Hey 'Garyb' Thanks for the input. I've found your replies to be very helpful . I've always had to concider IRQ's when building a systyem. I am usually run out of them, as I am with my P3 system. I think any old-school TDAT users who started back in 97' like I did, had to deal with those isues as ...
