Just to clarify, this is the original A16 (circa 1999) with the 18-bit converters, NOT THE ULTRA. Probably hasn't been powered on in at least 5 years. Spent almost its entire life in the box it came in. I ended up using Swissonic AD24 and DA24 converters to feed the Pulsar/et.al.

you'll need to write to support and request 4.0 keys for your card's serial number.

Thanks. Hopefully I get a reply from Sonic Core support today with a 4.0 key for my Pulsar.

The Creamware web site let you log in, view all your keys and download file with all the keys in it. Is that still ...

Hey Garry, welcome back.

You can re-download 4.0 software here . Should be fine.

SCOPE v4.5 Upgrade is currently 166,39 EUR.

Keep us posted - your P1 is still a great piece of studio hardware - a lot has happened over the years, but one thing's for sure - the quality of plugs has gone up ...

Could you elaborate a little please :-)

I've been out of the loop since Creamware became (?) Sonic Core. Do I need to re-register the card and get a key to run the 4.0? 4.5? basic software package. Is there no hope of getting current software for it and I should just sell the card to someone here ...

Pulsar Classic Questions

So I've been doing some spring cleaning of my studio to start the new year and discovered my original Pulsar card (now called a Pulsar Classic I think). 4 DSP. One of the first ones in the USA from way back in the day.

I'm wondering what the latest software package is that I can download for it is ...

Thanks for the replies. To be honest, I never tried using it in that state. I saw the missing wires in the routing window and figured they were disconnected. Would that explain why I get hourglasses when trying reconnect them? Seems I have to fight with the devices to get the crosshair cursor to ...

I've been having a variety of issues with my Pulsar 1 and SFP4.0. The most annoying one is that I have a Master Verb connected to aux 1 on an STM 1632 mixer. The aux send goes to the left input on the reverb and the stereo outs of the reverb go to the aux returns. Works fine.

I then save my ...

I got my P1 in early 99. Used it for a while, then went to a native PC-based studio (I don't do synth stuff) based around an RME soundcard. The Pulsar sat on a shelf collecting dust for several years. The horribly broken 24-bit WDM drivers didn't help any. But now SONAR supports ASIO drivers, the ...

Since installing my very old Pulsar into my very new PC, I get a message that the "Creamware Pulsar" driver is preventing the system from going into suspend mode (when left unattended for a few hours). Is this typical/expected behavior? Is there a setting somewhere to make the Pulsar play nicer with ...

I figured out that double-clicking lets me see the number of ASIO channels, but it won't let me edit the value. Now what? I think I'm close... I've been churning through the manual, but haven't found this covered anywhere (yet).

I'm just getting back into trying to use my Pulsar 1 card, so I'm an old newbie. I have a project setup just fine using 24-bit WAV (10 pairs). Now I want to try the same thing with ASIO and SONAR. Every time I try to add a second ASIO 24-bit Dest, it complains that I have one already. Is there an ...
