Thanks for the input guys, unfortunaltey i've just updated the BIOS - no joy :sad: I ran a chkdsk booting from the windows cd - and resotred all the system files as such from there - (is that similar to doing the the reinstall or not?) Yeah - i think the darkness is cos a lot of people like the nuendo interface - people tell me that its nicer to look at for long periods of time.. i've used it a bit but to be fair dont really mind the differnces between the interface.
