Project turned out to be a little larger than I thought when I agreed to it. I think it is about 1.5-2 hours audio. I am taking samples and applying settings based on the those samples to the entire side.

Have normalised.

Gonna make two versions, one with harsh noise reduction and slight ...

Hi

On a whim I offered to record a tape to CD. So now I have 2.5gb of recorded tape on my hard-drive and I am wondering what is best to do with it?

I figure, reduce noise, EQ it to make it sound flatter (anyone know what the freq response of a tape is) and then normalise it and slap it on the CD ...

I did this using Goldwave and recording wave outs while playing the DVD (this is on an Audigy 2) with the Creamware you could just re-route the audio to VDAT or whatever

I listened to the STW version and I can notice the difference. The first thing I thought is that the STW version is better (wondering what results would be on the multitracked original). I then turned up the voume on the original and realised the normalisation of the STW helped a lot but there was ...

Yea, I would appreciate the compressed version with instructions on what you used and what choices you made.

I am glad people liked it, although it was not recorded live... Funnily enough the original guitars were recorded using an Audigy Plat Pro 2 () before I purchased my Creamware. The ...

I wanted a high-quality soundcard with DSP on board and a range of DSP effects. It was like an all-in-one choice instead of a Powercore and although you can't use some of the more versatile functions in XTC mode I must say I'm not disappointed.
The best thing about the system is that it is so ...

The board is a dream for stability, and since installing I have even managed to stabilize my ever-annoying video card. It is more stable than anything I have had.

I think the fan control is only for chassis fans, as the CPU fan will not change no-matter what I do. it's not overheating and its not ...

As I can't really tell whether my fan is getting any slower or speeding up? Isn't this mobo supposed to have fan control?

Thank you Valis, that is good info. Since i am going to have a Intel mobo and I am going to be running XP SP2 I think that I will go with the ACPI, especially since it has never caused problems before.

I revile at the concept of the cheap and cheerless Behringer, but I bought a BCF2000 and its probably the best piece of £150 equipment I have ever seen. It has everything you could want and more (except touch-sensitive faders) but for £150 when everything else on the market is at least £500 ...

Thanks for the information. I have run Pulsar successfully with ACPI in the past, plus I like the idea of more interrupts and not having to worry as to whether my computer is acutally switched off, so I figure that when I install my new mobo and make a new XP installation I may go with ACPI unless ...
