FS: Luna II & Pulsar I

I don't use the cards anymore and could use the cash. Both are in perfect working order.

Luna II (3 dsp) with default software, bought new at Keymusic Belgium
Pulsar I (4 dsp) with some extra plugins registered to it, bought here from a fellow forum member.

STDM cable is included.

It's best to do the flash before putting XP on it, that way XP will recognise the new bios with the appropriate settings (I must say I have never run into problems updating bios's after an xp install was made but just to make sure do it before).

I'd say if you want to upgrade to an 800fsb cpu, you'll get much better results upgrading to an intel 865 or 875 chipset board too to take advantage of the PAT-system and dual channel memory. Otherwise the performance increase won't be that big.

You won't be able to install any creamware card in the pci-x slots, they are a totally different architecture (64bits I guess).

Installing SCSI drives won't improve your soundquality it will only slightly improve your datatransfer and thus your track count.

As far as I know you can't use three double sided dimms on the p4xp-x neither but I might be wrong on this one. As to the RDRAM question, it will be fading of the market soon since it has been blown out of the water by the dualchannel DDR setups by an armslength. There was some talk about quadpumped ...

As far as I know it wouldn't be a problem since the new bios for the P4Pe only adjust the FSB of the board to match up with the 800 Fsb CPU's and therefore also needs DDR400 memory to work. The PCIbus is untouched and is still running in spec.

Hi there,

As you know the CW cards are dependant on the PCI bus. Therefore you should definately look for a mobo with one of the recent intel chipsets since they are most stable with it. I have had best experiences with asus mobo's. Theoreticaly the PCI bus bandwith is the same on al mobo's but ...

Might be worth a try:

In the Matrox Utility disable the option for busmastering, that way the card won't grap the agp/pci buss all the time, that's what might be causing the errors.

Hi there,

nice track really, and I must agree that none (or just a very little) mastering would be needed. I like the 'unprocessed' sounds especially for this type of music.

Max temperature for Northwood B cores is 75C. Remember that the p4 uses thermal throtling meaning that if a higher temp is reached it will keep working but it will slow the clockspeed down in order to decrease the outputted heat.

Hi there Nestor,

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I had a P4PE before my current board (P4P800) and I had the same problem as you describe here. The solution was to clear the CMOS with the jumper on the motherboard. Look in the manual and it will be described. You have to disconnect the machine ...

First let me start by telling that you need NOT to assign a driver in reason to use it with rewire. It uses rewire to send all signals.

Now let's get to it:

First you make sure you have SFP running
Then you have to start Cubase before starting Reason. Once that is done you have to enable the ...
