Success!! I accosted a local tech guy passing in his car and asked if he had any alcohol...just to clean the card contacts. He suggested getting deoxit or even using an eraser (as in rubber) which I did. Bingo - sound precious sound again!

Don't seem to be able to post the routing window but I have tried various projects including the basic default with wave & asio drivers to others with adat, etc I had worked with before. No incoming sound appears in the mixer.

I've been using this for years so tried different samplerates, ULLI ...

I would appreciate help troubleshooting this issue: I have recently performed a clean install of Win XP and SFP 4.5. I updated the ASPI layer, the driver and software appear to install OK.

This is a message for the sake of anyone frustrated by the Windows ‘feature’ which leaves you unable to get your IDE controller out of PIO mode, i.e. your computer will run like a lame dog so forget about smooth audio recording…

I'm getting all sorts of pops, glitches and sync problems when I use any ASIO driver other than old ASIO source/dest - 16 bit. It even works better with ASIO Multimedia drivers than with the SCope driver. Any ideas appreciated.

The system is a P4 2.4 with gigabyte GA-8ST667 mobo, Cubase SX is v.1 ...
