Okay guys, I've solved the freezing problem now with a new MIDI interface (MIDISPORT 2x2)... nice.. now I'm a musician again! :smile:

Gary,

Yes I use antivirus once in a while, ad-aware 2. but there seems to be no problems with any virus.

my softwares are:

Windows XP Pro.
Cubase SX and the latest install.
SFP v3.1c
NI Reaktor
NI Kontak
Soundforge
Recycle

GaryB, you´re the man... I think I solved the problem now.. I'm not quite sure... It seems that it was wrong with the midi all the way... strange, cuz my midi controller (yamaha cs2x) did work just fine with my PIII but now it seems to f*ck up everything.. i turned MIDI down and cubase runs well. so ...

Now I've tested to disable all USB ports except the Root Hub and the one used by the mouse (couldnt find any usb-ps2 connector). Darn :sad: :sad: :sad:

Why don't they answer the mails I send CW Support? Lazy germans! :sad:

No bluescreen, the desktop freezes and there is nothing to do about it... the sound is fucked up 2. It sound like a looped bassdrum in 240 bpm everytime the computer freezes.

Thanks guys,

I will try to fix myself usb-ps2 connector for the mouse/keyboard. Hopefully it will work. :smile:

(waiting for the sfp 4.0, maybe it includes a newer asio driver?)

A question,

SFP 4.0, will it be free for all existing SFP 3.x users? It will work with the Pulsar 2 card? The new names, are they just new namnes for the existing cards? Scope project = Pulsar 2?

The problem is everytime I use ASIO Drivers. For instance, when I run Native Instruments in stand alone mode, this problem is still there.. It freezes my computer....

Thanks Gary, I will try the MIDI thing soon, but the thing is that the Pulsar worked just fine with my old PIII DAW.

I use noname RAM, could that be a problem u think?

Thanks dude, I will test without MIDI. But if that seems to be the problem it would be difficult creating music without MIDI.

Anyone else having this problem?

BTW, are ABIT MOBOs a good musicians choice? (i875p chipset)

ABIT IC7-G
P4 2.8 GHz 800 MHz
Maxtor 40 GB 7200 rpm (System disk)
Seagate 120 GB 7200 rpm (Audio disk)
512 MB RAM
GeForce 2 MX GFX Card
Cubase SX 2.0
Windows XP

Everytime i use the SFP ASIO drivers the computer freezes ...
