I wish I had another PSU to try. Maybe someone I know has one....
I totally get what you're saying with regards to the "quality"
of the plugins. I don't have any of the third party "higher end"
plugins. Just the stock ones, but they ARE killer. Definately on par
if not better than some of the ...

Thanks Gary
Yeah I can't even get it to boot when the card was in.
I really hope that it's a bad card
I will check the IRQ situation ASAP.

PCI Firewire card issue
Hey gang
Here's one.....
I tried to install a Belkin 3port FW Pci card last night.
Computer hangs on boot up. I have 3 Scope cards (1x6 dsp and 2x4dsp)
in PCI slots 2-4. I tried it in the 5th slot and the first. Hangs in
both cases. Take it out, everything works fine.
IRQ issue???? Need it so I can ...

Scope and Melodyne
Just wondering if any of you guys experienced this.
Okay, I'm just getting back into doing music again and I've
"needed" to use Melodyne. I tried to fix a bass track but
noticed some weird artifacts. Thing is, I've fixed stuff
in the past and not noticed anything. SO.....basically, running

Re: Pensado's Place
Yes, I have been watching this for about the last month.
It's been AWESOME. I especially loved the episode with
Brent Paschke taking about how stuff he's tracked DIRECTLY
through amp models and bypassing using real amps. UNBELIEVABLE.

Re: Server 2003
I hear what you're saying Tom. However, I would like take advantage
of the horsepower though. Especially for VSTi's. I tend to rely heavily
on that stuff since I used to do mostly "synth pop" kind of stuff.
I may just throw XP or 7 on this new box and see
what happens. Can't really afford to get ...

Well, I asked and Tom gave!!!! LOL!!!
Thank you very much for such a detailed answer.
I do appreciate it very much. I am just in the process
of "re setting" up my rig after not doing this for a while.
I will certainly look into each aspect in more detail

Re: Server 2003
Hi Tom
In the first place, I do have a legit licence. This computer was
given to me by my ex-pastor (and very good friend) :)
So, I'm not sure as to what you're trying to tell me.
Okay, I get the "bloated" bit and such. SO......will it run my DAW
is essentially what I'm asking. OR will it run like ...

Server 2003
Hey guys
I was just "gifted" a server. I'd like to run my DAW on this if
possible. My regular computer is kind of ancient. It's running
Server 2003. Just wondering if anyone else is using this and
how their Scope cards were working.
Thanks
Carmine

Hey Everyone,
I was at NAMM, and I actually saw XCITE working.
Here's a pic for ya...
They said they were really close on the software, but
were trying to "fix the last 5 percent" . At least that's
what they told me. But it looked to be functioning none the less.
Anyway...just thought you may want ...

Re: NAMM???
That's in the basement correct? I love going through the basement.
You see some of the coolest stuff....and some of the funniest.
I remember one year walking downstairs, there was a Chinese company
that basically would make anything you wanted. A "knock off" kind of thing.
Their sign read, and I ...

No need to apologize.
Yeah that was rather rude actually.
Don't know how that kind of garbage gets through.
Thought we were out of the dark ages.....guess not.
