I think Spirit hit the nail on the head - and that's the basis of my thoughts that a "new" card wouldn't be all that much different than current cards... if it is even a necessary thing at all (I really don't see too many advantages or things to improve with my system).

Hmm, yes I suppose it could be related to 3rd party devices which aren't fully SFP compatible... I'm not using any Celmo devices (yet) for example...

ACPI mode is fine if you don't have any problems with it, but if you do run into problems Standard Mode often fixes them.. depends on what hardware you have.

First thing I'd say is to upgrade to SFP... lots of midi changes between Pulsar3.01 and SFP 3.1c...

That said, I don't really use this feature so someone else may chime in here.
