I can suggest to try the pitchshifter stereo. Using small amounts of fine tuning, (something like -5cents right and +5 cents left for example) and no modulation, I've managed to create a nice unison effect which I used a lot some time ago.

I use AKG 240 Studio and AKG 271 Studio. I prefer the second.

I suppose you could touch the screen instead of using a mouse.
I remember a friend of mine that has got a Siemens professional laptop with touchscreen: he used his finger as using a mouse and for the keyboard he runs a virtual keyboard on screen.
