Plz I need Advice : Nforce3 and Amd 4000 skt 939 single c

hello
since I've read many threads about the Nforce4 to be useless
for pro audio, I'd like to build a new system based on a single
core AMD 4000+ and MB with the Nforce3 .
Can someone give me advice for the mobo ? Which one to buy ?

thanx in advance

thanks mate,

well I can't see the reason why CW called it "Scope 4.5", this is not an upgrade.

I'm envious of you because you have the time for staying hours in front of the monitor reading posts, but I've read only the information on the Creamware website, that's the reason why I wrote this post. But I haven't been lucky with the answers <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: claudioD o...

I checked CW webiste and I've read some of the "new" features. Maybe I'm missing something, but...what's really new in 4,5 ? It smells like
a commercial move to earn some of our money.
I'm happy with my 3.1c

My setup

Pentium IV 2.6 ghz
Intel 865 Perl
1 Gb Ram
MSI Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 - AGP
Pulsar 2 (z-link) + SRB (6 dsp) = 12 DSP

16 Masterverb in a empty project. I ran out of DSP memory.

I'm afraid that what I thought about X2 is a real thing : like with Hyperthreading now the double core makes SFP crashing. You could try to open the Task Manager and assign the CPU affinity for SFP only to 1 core (not both). That worked with HT.
