Thanks, the fact that drivers are working Is a good news, i was not aware of this
I will not upgrade now, I'm just considering the idea and preparing for it!
my 2x DSP card scope system is up and running since more than 20 years.
my latest PC upgrade, with windows 10 is: - asus prime B460 - Ram DIMM DDR4 64GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo (4x16GB) - Cpu Intel Core i9 10900KF 3.7GHz 20M 1200 no fan Box [BX8070110900KF]
Hello everyone! long-time scope user here (since 2000!) and current owner of 2 scope PCI (21 DSPs)
"unfortunately", i now use scope just to route my audio, with the currecnt power of my computer and all the VST stuff I have, there's really no need for me to use Scope FX/synths anymore. No, "better ...
it turned out that in removing the pulsar 2, also the scope went slightly out from the MoBo and was not recognized. since my primary keys (SFP7) are on that board, the system won't start.
when I put in the scope again, everything was fine.
damn!
suddenly, it appeared this message, after I just physically removed and installed again the pulsar 2 board in my MoBo. I didn't touch anything in my windows 10 configuration.
Even if I import the keyfiles, the import succeed but the key is not recgnized.
yes, i have 2 cards, scope + pulsar 2 i am in the same situation, with my old gigabyte MoBo I could load maybe 5 masterverbs. Now i look forward to test the new PC with my DAW. I also recently entered IK Multemedia Group Buy, so i want to stress the system with Modo Bass, modo Drums, Amplitube ...
for now the system is booting with the old win10 SDD installation, so i didn't have to reinstall anything, just update the drivers.
I have still not mounted the scope boards.
will keep you informed as I proceed!
I'd clone the old SSD to new and most likely faster SSD and keep the old one as backup in case something goes wrong.
already did it! :) I upgraded the old ssd to a faster one after a failure of another ssd in another PC! :D ... and make a backup clone now, before the switch to the new pc.
