Solution found!
As i am using a soundcard with multiple IO´s,
I checked my equipment configuration once again, and did I see in the "VST-Multitrack" menue? Cubase was still using
the ASIO-MultiMediaDriver. So I changed the driver and BINGO, everything works perfecto.
Buffer size is down to 64, XTC ...

My SX Version is 1.06
Would an update to 2.0 fix my problem?
Or might be the VIA chipset of my ASUS A7V8X MB the cause of it?

My problem right now is that CPU load goes up about 50 percent as soon as I load a CW Plugin into Cubase SX. After starting play back glitches are being audible and shortly after that System starts to hang. Buffer preload of the XTC card is at standard. Increasing Buffer-settings of the card will ...

I used to have the same problems when Cubase 5.0 was installed. But the day I installed SX my problems suddenly disapeared. Hell knows why?
On the board everything I don´t really need is deaktivated, which leaves Windows with 5 unused IRQ´s. Should be enough you would think.
All the latest drivers ...

I had evervthing working, 8 master verb EZ.
But after a virus-attack, I had to format my HD and reinstall everything again. I did not change any BIOS-Settings, and XP runs in Standard-Mode but wont load the IRQ resource exclusions from the BIOS.
IRQ ...

Here are some Thoughts.

First you have to prevent automatic IRQ-assignment for the PCI-Slot your pulsar
is connected to. (best is #3)Depending on your mainboard, this should be fairly easy. Refer to your manual, how this step is done properly. You can keep assigning IRQ´s till
hell freezes over, if ...

Somehow Cubase just won´t save the assigned XTC Synth-Controller. Every time I open a previous saved Arrangement all the controllers like Volume, pan a.s.f have to be reassigned, which is really getting on my nerves. I contacted Steinberg and the said its a Creamware-Problem and the Delvelopers are ...
