Thanks very much for your replies.

I forgot to say, I have tried with other cards disabled. I don't know whether that has the same effect as removing the card.

I have been wondering whether I need to go the new motherboard route.
The first thing I tried, was to re-install with standard PC mode ...

I find that when I playback audio tracks in Cubase SX (through DSP factory) the Luna software comes up with a message something about PCI capacity - RETRY or CANCEL.
