well, be careful with this midi interface.
I have the same one with XP and it works fine.
There is a subtility when you install it.
You have to reboot the machine twice.
Read carefully all the info available on the ego sys site to make sure you went through the whole install procedure.
I'm not sure ...

that file you got is a hoax: jdbmgr.exe (with the little bear icon is the java manager thing) and not a virus. do not delete it, it's safe.

Some morons just like to send fake virusses across the web to make users nuts.

do not worry but keep watching for real ones !!

hello Atomic, earlier in this thread, you said :

"Unless the OS is XP, I would not advise ACPI. Better is even when your mobo has APIC, it then has way over 16 IRQ's: no emulations, but real IRQ's!"

What is APIC? I have a dual processorsd station (with one CPU installed) and before disabling ACPI ...

Cubase.net and others are waaaaaayy under the quality of these threads.
Just one thing to say :

I'm not worthy, i'm not worthy.

Seems like there are some really good guys on this thing. The pulsar ...

Considering that there are 70 new modules, this package seems a little light ???

Thanks a lot for your answers

I've just downloaded the upgrade for the modular and i'm surprised by the size of the file.

It's merely 1Kb. Is this normal???
I've just bought a powerpulsar, i've got SFP3.1 but is this just an activation key, or do i have to download modules and other stuff from somewhere on creamware's site ...

sorry, did not read correctly about the cubase version.

But still, do not use win 98 for a DAW. These applications need a more "professional" OS in order to work properly.

If it is an error with a VXD file, it comes from wiwi98.

Check if you have (at least) a win98second edition.
If not, reinstall your pc with either Win2000 service pack 3 or windows XP professional.

Those are much more stable and do not use these crappy VXD extensions that tend to crash the system ...

hello all,

you guys are really right.

Make it simple and it will work.
Steinberg sure makes complete softs, but you have to go through one zillion menus to get the info you need.
And latency is a problem, and VSTI cause problems.

Hope you're right about Ableton, and if so, uninstall vst (i got ...

i've heard of this one on a synth DIY page.

For those of you who want to build your own drehbank (midi controllers), go visit :

this is THE site to build your midi controllers to control your whole SFP via hardware knobs

thanks a lot.

Too bad creamware did not include a module for this purpose.

That would be cool if some genius scope developper on this forum could come up with a device like hubi's loopback device

i'm also a new user but i would advise you to delete everything from the old versions of the software, or use an uninstaller.
then reboot the pc and start reinstalling sfp3.1.

If you do not have an uninstaller, check for creamware and/or sfp entries in regedit before installing sfp3.1 and delete ...

i'd like to know one thing, as you seem to be technically good with xtc mode.

In cubase SX, i play in XTC mode a couple of instruments from pulsar (eds8i and inferno synth).
I also send midi notes to my Korg Triton to play a bassline.
The problem is that i get latency. the beat played by the edsi8 ...

hi all, i've just bought a powerpulsar to enhance my studio setup but i have a little problem :
I have a miditerminal 4140 (4 midi in/out) plugged on my parallel port.
How can i use it with SFP 3.1 ???
The software only recognizes the midi i/o from the powerpulsar, but i do not see any modules ...
