Judging from the website SFP 4.0 just looks like a repackaged SPF 3.1. What's the big news here?

Everyone knows that the price of hardware components has very little to do with the price of professional audio cards. Otherwise a Protools HD3 ACCEL system would cost around 300 USD!

Creamware IS working on SFP4 for Win XP and Mac OSX my sources tell me. But I can only speculate that the reception (read sales) of Noah plays an important part in how soon it will land on our doorstep. Creamware have been waiting so long with updates to the PCI cards that it might not make so much ...

I haven't heard Vokator but from reading the info on the NI website I suspect they used the Spectral Delay FFT engine. While having an impressive number of bands, the sound of Spectral Delay isn't very good but can be used for certain things like weird rhythms and stuff. I would never use it on a ...

First of all thanks for your help and input.

I know it's been a little difficult to understand my problem unless one tries for himself but I'm glad that someone took the time to confirm my suspicion that Pulsar projects aren't cross platform, which is completely stupid since ALL devices and most ...

Unfortunately, there's no software that does it all. Any program sucks if one use it for the wrong thing or doesn't know how to operate it properly and there are issues such as stability and compability to consider. I've been using a number of different audio programs on Atari, Mac and PC and have a ...

OOPS!

That should've been:

Also, because of the strain on the system I would NOT feel happy about running Logic or anything like that,

yup!

Re. PT and Scope together...

Until now I've had PT HD 3 and Scope/SP together in a Mac QS 733 with a GeForce 4 Ti card running two SGI SW1600s flatscreens. Funny enough I haven't had any "PCI too slow" errors, except from Scope when I start up PT sometimes. I'm running a very clean OS 9.2.2 and use ...

Comparing Pulsar and Digidesign is like comparing apples and pickled heering. I have both PT HD and Scope/SP in my studio and have installed a number of Digi systems around town.

The two systems are miles apart. Digi is very rock solid, but no-frills and a little too overpriced. Also, if you decide ...

From the look of it the Scope s/w folder structure looks exactly the same on Mac and PC, the same names, extensions etc.

But when I open a project that came from the Mac somehow the PC gets things mixed up with the devices looking for xxx/dev instead of xxx.dev for example. That's a pain but I can ...

I've moved my Scope/SP from an Apple G4 to a PC and while everything works fine I can't open my old projects because the devices on the Mac are named xxxxxx/dev instead of xxxxx.dev. When I force the project to replace the devices, i get the error "value out of range".

Does anyone know how to work ...
