I was just a musician with no knowledge of DAW. But I really wanted one regardless. I was extremely lucky enough to allow a salesman to talk me into buying a pulsar 2 instead of the echo mona I was going to get. It took me more than a year to realise how good a system it is. But what a learning curve!

I found this thread about wolf audio's step sequencer that more or less answers my question.

Anyone use this?

Is there any way to convert the frequency out on the sequencer modules back into midi in order to be routed to an external synth. A patch simply as an arpeggiator?

atomic, what flexor patches do you use? Are there ways to make flexor sequencer patches that can be routed to ext midi device eg another synth? I like the midi rythmer patch and was wondering if there is a similar patch but dealing with pitch sequencing?

Can I trade in my STS5000 for this?
I like the GUI. It's so simple yet everything is there within reach. I wonder though if my pc has enough memory to run this competently. I have a p3 800 512mb RAM. I am assuming the STS5000 is better for me now only because it uses DSP power apart from RAM ...

Valis,
Can you please tell me in your opinion what are the pros and cons for using logic's matrix editor connected to an STS as a setup for drum sequencing?

But alas I'm still not happy with this method of drum sequencing. I think i'll go back to sampled loops.

Hello all. I have been fiddling around with different options to do drum sequencing and I was wondering what does everyone else do? What setups do you have for your drum sequencing?

hey man. Yeah it's hell fiddly but I guess it's just like anything else it takes getting used to. Can you suggest a better way to do this type of sequencing in the scope environment? By the way you may want to download the device again because I only just replaced it with the one programed for stige ...

ok once a kit is set up it seems rewarding. I have reposted the device with key zones set for Stige's normal kit. I guess it would work for the ambient kit also. Thanks Stige, they are choice drum samples!

I didn't actually make any presets. It's just blank for making entirely new sequences. I realised aswell that another way to use this patch would be to load the STS program and then asign the keynotes by adjusting the transpose value on the Keyzones. So what do yaz think of the patch?
