very nice that sonic-core supports 64 bit OSes now. I can begin to use my lovely Creamware systems again!
Do you know if beta program and ftp for downloading are public, open to all scope users ?

Of course I'll put another harddrive for samples and another one for audio too (all sata i think), sorry if i didn't specify it . I just meant it as a base system without additional harddrives that obviously they would have been added .
I am planning to install Windows XP without ...

so... a system with p5k asus + q6600 + ati x1550 will be fine and trouble-free with scope boards (1st or 2nd generation)? No glitches , no stutter ?

which motherboard are you using with such setup (scope + q6600)?
Is PCI at 33 mhz and SATA/EIDE not overclocked / overvolted but running at their own freqs ? I am afraid that such motherboard speed may damage harddrives ... i had some ibms crashes in the past because using overclocked ...

Intel motherboards are more difficult to find here in my town; ASUS are the easiest way to go here. If you think that P5B ASUS is better please let me know.

I installed Windows XP in standard IDE and then i cannot change any more in AHCI and i will have blue screen at startup!

Yes, this kind of things and many others gives an idea of what a basic creamware system can do and no other system can. The only limit is our brain IMHO .

It's normal, z-link protocol lets you only choose your computer as "master" wordclock.

i fully agree too : next Creamware board has to be FIREWIRE ! FW400, FW800 or even usb2.0 would be ok too , for my taste !

I think they already HAVE Z-Link technology(that is near to firewire), so they should use that one for new systems, able to communicate through standard 1394 protocol ...

The CWA servers are not working again (you cannot "generate" downloads for your devices and you cannot activate with the mail-process).

Anyway, until you won't activate the codes you received by e-mail, you could request those codes as many times as you want ... so please don't panic, because you ...

it seems there are problems in cremware servers again now : when you have the "unknown error" generating devices, you have the same error in the scope4 activation process...

Maybe server overflow or more serious php or asp problems..

Perhaps I am stupid, but here everything is working (including wave drivers) ... There are some bugs(maybe there are more than a few), but everything has bugs !! There are A LOT OF workarounds anyway for *most* of Creamware Scope's bugs.
