You could just load up a string sample, but it doesn't aford the same modulation capabilities that a quick/dirty hard OSC would. Pulse it would be one less thing for me to remember to reload when i start the mod up, and offer a bit more creativity in Mod2.
Lemme know what you all think!

enb141 - Just in case you didn't realise this, In your routing window on the Luna you'll see the ASIO source and destination modules with 2 availible channels. Right click on the module of your choice (source/dest) and increase the number of ASIO channels (1-32). When you reload your NI gear, head ...

On the other side, look at older/used "grooveboxes" ala the Roland MC series. The MC303 is cheap nowadays (>300$), and offers an 8track sequencer, drums, and a bunch of old outdated rom samples . Very portable and useful as a sketchpad, has a one octave button board posing as a keyboard. For ...

The MC-303 does NOT send CC data on it's knobs. That combined with it's slightly wandering midi timing during multitrack recording/playback have really made the MC303 nothing more than a portable sketchpad or a tonebox. It can recieve CC data, but nowhere near that of the MC505. Your best bet is to ...

I looked high and low in my SFP package, and haven't found a metronome plugin for SPF. It sounds silly I know, but I like to play back to a clicktrack - as sometimes I don't make the drums up until after I've pieced together various lines. It's a pain becuase I use the SFP synths all the time in a ...

Ken, nice job on the patch! (and thanks for the Mod2 version so I could load it!) I A/B'd it against my JP8000 (same as the JP8080 minus the distortion) and it's close - real close. I looked at your patching and was suprized to see elements like noise sources and pulsemod sources which are present ...

Fantastic news for closet modulars like me! I'm excited to hear that it will support Mod2 as well, I hope that all of them will be present without the needing of upgrading to Mod3. Just the possiblities of the granular and the user drawn waves make this worth it's price. Can't wait to hear ...

Ken, could you post the size on that file in any chance? I would love to hear some of those hits, but the thought of downloading a full Gig on a 56K modem just sent a shiver up my spine. Thanks again for your effort!

With new technology around the corner, they're just upgrading everything so that they can continue to make the modular grow. They just debuted the new Nord Modular G2 (Gen 2), which comes in the keyboard version, and a new G2 ENGINE a 1U rack module. Both can be hooked up via USB for editing, and ...

This is more of a question than a wish, as I don't know what all is involved with creating a new device from scratch with the DP. From what I've read in the DP forum, the assembly is similar to the Modular. I don't know how the graphics are assigned to the controllers, or how the controllers are ...

Zoom has a small multi track recorder the size of a fat walkman (or a portable dat) that can record 3 mono tracks in WAV, 32khz, is saved on Flash Memory sticks, and runs off battery power. It has a TRS input on it for an external mic, and a small mixer. runs about 400 bucks or something like that ...

Until you have spent an adequate amount of time living on the border of Mexico within the US, don't presume that the world would be better off without borders. Borders are there for a reason - that reason may vary from individual to individual, but regardless, there is a border. This is a game that ...
