Hey

I had crackles when playing back songs, ive tried creamware on several computers with multiple processors both AMD and intel and experienced the same problem. Try turn off one cpu specifically for the SFP.exe program, it seems to work for me. CTRL+ALT+DELTE, rightclick SFP, set affinity, choose one ...

Yes you have persuaded me. Actually I think I'll 1 gig of twinx Ram to begin with. That'll be even cheaper. And then I'll buy another gig if I feel that I need it and when the price is lower. What do you think?

At most I spend 150 euro extra (compared to if I would buy the cheapest case and cheapest fans), and for that I get a really quiet (and good looking) computer. It's not that big deal really. As it is now I actually avoid sitting with my stationary computer because of the noise. Besides hopefully I ...

The price of the processorfan is one fifth of the price of 2 gb ram (like 50 euro). Im just tired of computers that makes noise. But it's true that antec has some cheaper cases that comes with a poweradaptor. Im gonna read some reviews.

Okay so I decided to skip trying to upgrade my HP computer and instead building a new computer from scratch, keeping only the harddrives and the graphiccard from the old one. The goal is to make a computer that is moderatly fast, not used for games, but very very quiet. Extremely quiet even. During ...

Okay, I actually think Ive solved the problem with my amd computer now. I turned off one core in boot.ini and the computer seems to work better than ever. I guess it's the processor and the motherboard that doesnt go so well together. However the noiseproblem is still there so Ive decided to go for ...

Hi, thanks for all your answers.

evdb: the problem is that my processor requires socket 939. So I cant use the same board as you.

garyb: yes, you're right, sometime in the future I'll probably want to have the computer somewhere else. But for now I just want glitchfree playback. The only things I ...

Hi there,

I've got a problem. Not too long ago I recieved a computer from Hewlett Packard, and as usual these computers aren't exactly optimized for being used as a DAW. To begin with the noise from the fans is incredibly loud. It is not possible to record anything in the same room as the computer ...

Hi! I will soon recive a pulsar2 card that I will add to my Luna2. Im wondering how I should proceed. Should I uninstall everything first or can I just plug my new card in? Another potential issue is the fact that I will have the Modular3 synth connected to the Luna registration file and the ...

Hi! When Im trying to use the LunaII Midi I/O in different programs (fruityloops & modular editor) it says that "there is no driver installed on your system." I have a sequencer Midi source connected to a Midi dest, shouldnt that be like enough? I also hava a midiman 4x4 that I use, but it would be ...

Hi, when I recently upgraded to SFP 4.0 I also bought the Modular 3 synth. Ive installed it and the presets are working fine, although I am unable to build my own patches. Ive downloaded the manual, and the screenshots from that document shows lots of menus that suppose to exist within the "Modular ...

It's my external nord modular synth that gets unsynced with cubase (probably the 6-34 ms asio delay). I can compensate this with by moving the notes a few pixels to the left. I dont use any XTC plugins... its really a cubase issue so I probably shouldnt have posted my question here.

Siberian ...

6 ms.. well I can live with that, but I believe it can be noticed at some very intense sequencing. Besides it would be so easy for steinberg to put in a delay compensator that I thought that they perhaps already done it. But wont I also loose lots of processing power at 6 ms? I mean there is a ...

Hello. Today my computer rebooted while I was working in cubase. It hasnt happened in along while and I feel confused. What was special with this occation was that I was using my external synth and therefore was using the midiinterface more that usual. I have a conflict on IRQ11 between PCI Fast ...
