Re: New DAW with old Scope SP card - or not?
That being said, if you rely on your primary machine for income and thus need a predictable, billable machine, why not consider Scope in a secondary machine? Best of both worlds, at least imho... Mostly for ease of use and comfort. Don't want to need to fill my room with computers :) And jump betwe...

Re: New DAW with old Scope SP card - or not?
I already told you I don't need "all the most modern parts".
What would help, for example, would be what kind of limitations I would encounter with Startech. That I can use only 5 Masterverbs? I'm perfectly fine with that.

Re: New DAW with old Scope SP card - or not?
dealers just want to impress the kids. can't do anything without m.2? then you know your priorities. PCI has been officially obsolete for years. if you use PCI, you will have to give something up, most likely. That's not helping much. I'm willing to give something up, but my priority is, this will ...

Re: New DAW with old Scope SP card - or not?
startech? poor performance. How poor? Any better alternatives? difference between commercial and gamer? uhhhh...i think the names say it all. You mean professional? Like a server board or...? Whatever the category, I'm fine if it does not support overclocking or whatever gamer feats. some examples ...

Re: New DAW with old Scope SP card - or not?
Many are referring to Dawman having posted something recently, but I seem unable to find anything recent. Where is mr. Dawman, help me :) The problem with previous generations is that they do not support newer CPUs. @garyb : If there are new mobos with PCI, would mind giving some examples? I've aske...

New DAW with old Scope SP card - or not?
I was some time away from Scope things, well, ten years or so :D But now is the time to come back, and I still have my beloved 15 DSP card collecting dust.. but now is the time to make some use to it! I started designing a new PC DAW only to find out that PCI slots are not that common in todays mobo...

Re: Info from NAMM regarding XITE & Scope 5
All this talk about Solaris and Xite. Anyone other than I interested just in Scope 5 w/ the old cards? I can't understand why they (S/C) can't release it already and let only Xite buyers wait. Or if it's not finished, please, release a public beta or release candidate. What is the upgrade procedure ...

Re: About writing in the right forums
I've seen these "please, post into right forums" messages every now and then and maybe in this forum more often than usually. There are a few main reasons why this happen: 1) People are impatient and irresponsible. They just want to say what they have in mind and don't care whether it mess...

Dammit. I thought the post on their web site and the numerous emails they sent (that said they'll release on June) would hold. But indeed, they've changed it to Juli.

you do want it thouroughly tested, with a minimum of bugs, right? Actually no. Here comes the declaration: Dear SonicCore, i therefore announce that I would rather receive the SCP5 today with all it's bugs and mistakes and thus offer my free contribution to finishing the product if it in any way he...
