Why I chose that "desert"-sound (DADGAD-tuning, Vintage Twang amp): I mainly filmed close-ups on the skippers´ faces (mostly old people) silently waiting for the start of the regatta. When they finally leave, it looks a bit like "a last journey". So, beside that Eno-like quiteness in the beginning ...

I´m very interested in the final result. So far I don´t think the sound is specifically japanese. With vocals and a good looking singer/performer, this could be an international chart thing.
