Re: shameless plug for a dnbradio slot

Also note I'll get back to your questions soon, in both cases I think they're just tracks by a 3rd party artist. I have the playlists (track listing) so just need to have time to fire that machine up and respond accordingly. At the moment I'm in deep on client workload, so promise to respond as soo...

Re: It seems I will be joining the Xited side of the force after all

great discussion guys, and congrats to valis on the Xite ! :) the screenshots are very helpful, that's an extremely impressive amount of real-time dsp power ! very useful points about the Zarg synths being developed before Xite and so understandably optimisation is different. if anyone 's able to po...

Re: Sonic Core's big 4 for 1 software items sale

Am planning to get this, seems to be a great deal :)

How well do these run on an old Pulsar II (6 dsp)?

And is it possible for me to install the Modular 4, Prodyssey, Protone on my Pulsar II now,
and then if I get an Xite-1 in the future to be able to move these synths across to the Xite-1?

Re: Monitor Speakers

Mr Arkadin thanks for your suggestion, which variant of the PMC TB2s do you mean, I take it at the price you mention you mean the passive ones - the 'PMC TB2+' - in which case, any suggestions for well suited amps also? do you think the PMC TB2+ would be accurate lower down in the sub type frequency...

garyb "for all my talk, my Blue Sky System One speaks have a 1.5k crossover point" - lol! :) I hear you loud and clear re room treatment and flat mixing! Thanks garyb, I was just hoping (evidently unrealistically!) for the possibility of the best of both worlds in one solution, i.e. monito...

Re: Monitor Speakers

auntybiotic thanks for the suggestions, from all I've heard about the NS10s I would love to get a pair, I'm just concerned that as they're no longer in production it would be difficult to get a second-hand pair that hasn't been abused. also from research I've seen that they're very accurate and reve...

Re: Monitor Speakers

Garyb thanks for pointing out about crossover placement, particularly on 3 way speakers. This particular set (KRK 10-3) apparently has total range of 35Hz-25kHz with crossovers at 400 Hz and 3.75 kHz - are these particularly bad crossover points? Another set I am considering is the new Tannoy Reveal...

Re: Monitor Speakers

Thanks guys for your responses most useful indeed :) when I've got the monitors next stage will definitely be looking further into room treatment, and of course beginning the process of learning the speakers.

Monitor Speakers

Am thinking of upgrading my monitor speakers from the very basic set I presently have, research in my price range suggests that it's between the KRK VXT8 or the KRK 10-3 as best choice. Does anyone have any experience with these? I like the idea of the 10-3 because it's a three way speaker, and also...

After changing a few PCI cards around and then disabling PNP in the BIOS the installation went fine.

It is working fine in ACPI mode, would it be better to change to Standard PC?

Thanks

Greetings Pulsarians, hope everyone is well. Am attempting to make the plunge to XP, but having problems installing SFP (any version) for my Pulsar II. I have installed the latest ASPI layers, tried manually pointing to the drivers, let XP find them, tried out the Standard PC method, but in every ca...

Greetings Pulsarians, I have yet to buy a Magma chassis because it seems like a lot of money for something that should be relatively simple - i.e. PCI to Firewire adaptor. Dehuszar, how is your Centrino set-up working out? I have been told by some people in the industry to avoid Centrinos, as they a...

Greetings fellow pulsarians! After hard saving up, the time has come to update my setup (I need more processor power because my productions are getting more complex). I was thinking how great it would be to be able to link my Pulsar 2 card onto a Laptop, does anyone know if this is possible? Is ther...
