Re: Error notice - Can't start scope
Thanks Gary It’s been fine all morning and I finished the mix. I was very speculative about the A16 being anything to do with it. Now that I have time I will get some alcohol, do a clean, then build the setup gradually, starting with STW just to cross it off the list. I’ll try to install all the plu...

Re: Error notice - Can't start scope
Hi, thanks for responding I only reinstalled the software. There were no issues with that. Last night I turned everything off and slept on it. This morning I re booted. Scope asked me for the activation key ( due to the fresh install), which I entered and it all started up . As a precaution I didn’t...

Re: Error notice - Can't start scope
I'm getting the same message 'Hardware cannot be setup properly' in my old Scope 5.1 as well, which is on a separate HDD and Win install. Device manager also says that the XITE is installed correctly.
I have used both today with no problems. Only issue I had was the STW registration.

Re: STW issue
Crisis over. I imported the v5 registry file from 5.1 into the activation box for the STW EQ and Bingo!!!
Man what a relief. It's taken me hours to sort that out.
Cheers

Re: STW issue
I couldn't find it. I did a search and checked manually. I might try copying the contents of each 5.1 folder, (apps, dll. dsp) to the 7.1 folder but not overwrite anything. If I missed it or it has been renamed I might be lucky. The eqs and compressors work fine in 5.1. If it messes up 7.1 I'll just...

STW issue
Everything else appears fine. However my STW vintage eqs will not work. The modules open, but I am being asked for the dsp file st eq2 pulsar. I love these eqs and it would be a shame to go without. They worked fine in 5.1 but even if i enter the activation key it is being denied. Any help or advice...

Re: XITE driver issue
Was masterverb pro upgraded at all? Sounds much more clearly defined. May be the fresh install on a new ssd and fresh OS.
No more problems and all up and running. Awesome

Re: XITE driver issue
Hi Gary
Yeah tried the usual pitfalls. The driver was on the list. It does install but then uninstalls when Scope 7 is started. I’ll try a New driver from the site and try a New slot, although no issues previously with that.
See how I go
Thanks

XITE driver issue
I have a new ssd drive and have been trying to do a new install of Win 7 and Scope 7 on it. I still have the scope 5.1 on another HD ( dual os at present) However when I try to start SCope 7 on the ssd it is telling me the device is not installed correctly. In the device manager, it then has a yello...

Re: Scope 7
Hi Gary,
Thanks for sorting me out with all that. Awesome.
NOTE TO ALL: I may have not put my serial number in the spot allocated in the shopping cart. So probably my fault. If you're ordering make sure you do.
All the Best

Re: Scope 7
Thanks Gary, I didn't think I was being ignored, just thought there would be a rush on which would delay the process and some people seemed to already be up and running. (I remember when scope 5.1 came out. I was one of the lucky ones then) . And yes my serial number was in the address line, but I t...

Re: Scope 7 key waiting time
It's been almost 1 1/2 weeks now. I received confirmation of the purchase from Sonic Core as soon as i had bought it. I included my scope serial no. in the order.....nothing since. Do I just sit tight? Not in an immediate hurry but would like to have this all running smoothly over the holidays. Also...

Re: Thinking of switching to a laptop
Thanks guys for your responses. I didn't think of a rack mounted PC. That might be the best solution as i have a 19u rack on wheels and can just plug it in, whichever room I'm in. There are no steps to negotiate so my whole apartment would become my studio. I looked at a few laptops, but they start ...

Thinking of switching to a laptop
Hi all, I've been tied to a desktop PC running Scope for years. It wasn't a problem as I had a dedicated room in the house. Now I'm in an apartment and would like to be able to move my gear around to different rooms, eg for tracking, mixing, micing etc. (My kids have the best tracking room for their...
