I use my Pulsar II card for the synths, primarily Zarg's. They friggin' smoke any hardware VA out there, and are very much cost effective in doing so.
My PC= $900
My Pulsar2 = $1000
4 Zarg synths = $600
TOTAL= $2,500,
same price as one Supernova II kbd, or a Nord 2 and Virus A, etc., but infintely ...

Make me an offer on the Pro Pack.

All the Platinums are FET, and most of them are mic pres, but they all have different strengths.
The Penta's strength is the preset compressor, which apparently has very good, useful presets which can save you a buttload of time in the studio.

Um, it's not that new, but for it's price, I think all of the Focusrite Platinum series are very decent.
I sell lots of them.

All I have is a 4/4 kick drum and a beefy synthline from my Prophet Plus Pulsar synth, both of which are under -3db, and if I turn up the volume of my speakers, I get distortion. I can also hear it in headphones, so it's not the Mackie HR824's (not that I ever suspected them).
What's going on here ...
