Our local anarchist who insists you must do it to local code, by a professional who is bonded and licensed as an expert by local authority. Comedy abounds.

Meanwhile it’s clear that What we need to fix the situation in this thread is a shaman capable of exorcising electric demons inhabiting this Xite-ing gear. Have you seen Gary play that role on TV? Surely then you know he’s fully qualified, actors are the best and most informed experts of all, so he’s an expert shaman. (You can tell by the hair)

That's why I love reading this forums

In germany and france (and sweden) there's a comic strip with a shaman-style gui called "miraculix", which mixes drinks for unlimited power.
Maybe that's the next role for gary ?

Got the ungrounded splitters and connected everything up.

At first I thought I missed to plug something in, because even when turning everything up full it was dead quiet. Before I used to hear a little hiss at max levels.

So probably will not bother pulling in ground since it seems perfect without. If it ain't broke...

Remember, noise reduction was what sent me down this rabbit hole in my personal workspace. Sounds like you made gains, hope the Xite is more stable too.

Would it be helpful to anyone if I did a more thorough posting on studio grounding and house grounding?

No but can you diagram how to install a lightning rod at the top of the house.
I'm doing some experiments in my basement with cadavers.

that works best if the cadaver is raised to the top of the roof for electrification.

Isn't that kind of what astroman is doing with his old cards in an old computer with a way old OS?
A resurrection of sorts :D

Congrats dante, I think you just coined a phrase.

If yours is (or was) a FrankenPC, then mine is nearing its sesquicentenary celebration in computer years, for it's now almost 21 years old in human years. Now all I need is an Xite and my post would be on topic, for mine is still housing PCI cards...

Same here... if only funds allowed, I‘d go Xited within the blink of an eye :D
btw the P4C800 runs a lot smoother than the industrial board - main motivation was the mobile P4 for it‘s lower heat emission (as you mentioned in the other thread)
