Re: SCOPE 64 Bit beta..........?

the point is that it's only 16 i/o on ADAT, sigh. Never mind... you're hard work Fluxpod. I dunno why the fuck I bothered. Carry on as usual.

Re: SCOPE 64 Bit beta..........?

Your reply is sad but not unexpected. No (sigh) I am not getting confused with the crack, which is an entirely separate issue. Go do some research about Pro Tools Native. It's not official but is really not a secret anymore.

Also you don't seem to read what I wrote. You can use 16 channels of ...

Re: SCOPE 64 Bit beta..........?

lol

Dude - I'm perfectly happy. Just offering some perspective from the other side. All I was saying is that most people ain't interested in romanticizing DSPs, they just want to get work done. And c'mon about the A16U - I said I fucking have one. My point isn't about how it sounds - just that it's ...

Re: SCOPE 64 Bit beta..........?

And Im looking forward to the day where SC announce that the Pulsar, Pulsar2, Scope and Scope2 are legacy products and will therefor not receive any new updates. Any company in the world has to earn money to survive, innovate and create. And let us be honest - there're EXTREMELY few on this forum ...

Thanks for not starting a debate on climate change, I posted that link purely out of amazement at this planet on which we live. If anything it's proof that humans can do absolutely nothing about changes of this scale :)

Amazing info Nestor, glad your friends are safe. Thanks for the updates :)

Apparently this quake may have shifted the earth's axis:

Re: FS Digidesign Pro Tools Mix Core card

I don't see the problem in selling non-scope stuff here - it's happened for years and hasn't caused a problem. There's several instances of it on page 1 of this forum. Sometimes people sell non-scope stuff in Off Topic which I think is much more messy. I think it's pretty obvious if a post is spam ...

Re: WTB: IO daughterboard "Plus" or even "Classic"

Just an FYI - the ADAT24 i/o option has an extra PCI bracket which has the connector for the MIDI snake (which is 2x in/out/thru I think). The bracket connects to the i/o board with a ribbon cable/multi-pin connector. It's a pretty good design as the heavy snake doesn't weigh down on the i/o board ...

Re: Hardware wavetable on an arduino

Nice project Neutron - didn't know Arduino could be used for such cool stuff.

BTW as far as I know the Evolver signal path can never be fully analog - I'm pretty sure even the analog oscs are converted to digital at some point in the signal chain for a lot of the routing/mixing/FX processing ...

Looks nice :)

From the GUI I assume it's a step sequencer? Or does it record incoming MIDI in real time?

Great video. Earthquake Island/Power Spot/The Surgeon of the Night Sky.. are my favourites. I have some pretty rare live Hassell bootlegs if anyone is interested.

Stardust, I haven't been following the forum that closely recently so forgive me if I'm wrong here, but do you have some kind of vendetta with Jimmy? If so, what's the point? :-?

Re: Modular IV on SC shop.

Yeah fuck it, I'm bored of ranting too :) It doesn't really matter what I think in this case... as I said we all have our thresholds of what we think is acceptable - SC crossed mine here but that's life. We're indeed gonna have to agree to disagree - there is simply no way I can accept that Mod4 is ...

Re: Modular IV on SC shop.

Hi Shroomz,

Argh, I wasn't gonna reply any more to this topic but you've forced me :x

the MS EQ was a new product, it didn't have any relation to anything previous.

Mod4 is not a new product, it's Mod3 with some extra modules. That is the difference for me. Whether its 3 new modules or 100 ...

Re: Modular IV on SC shop.

OK point taken, it's speculation either way to say if it's a good move or bad move in business terms. Only time will tell. I've made my thoughts known to Holger anyway, so fuck it I'm done.

I suppose we all have our own thresholds when it comes to what we find acceptable. I guess for me this was ...

Re: Modular IV on SC shop.

Did you think about the guy new in Scope... He'll buy the mod IV, thinking he'll have the latest version... But what can you do with just mod IV ?

Not much ! It is not very fair..
I was sure it was not going to be an update price : NOBODY will buy mod IV alone !! You cannot do much things with ...

Re: Modular IV on SC shop.

In this instance i feel that at €99 for an upgrade more people would buy it without thinking twice - it's the proverbial no-brainer. At €198 people pause and think: do i really need it? Many will say no, including me, but i don't feel hard done by.

Exactly my point... I'm not at all bothered ...

Re: Modular IV on SC shop.

Well I can't speak for erminardi, but what I got from his message that he was annoyed that he would have to pay the full price x2. Buying it for 2 systems isn't a problem from my point of view, but everyone paying the same price is what doesn't make sense to me.

Re: Modular IV on SC shop.

I think his point is that it would be a lot fairer if there's a half-price upgrade (200EU vs. 400EU). The lack of an upgrade basically devalues Mod3, making it mean nothing. But Mod2/Mod3 users paid for the development of probably more than 80% of Mod4, so it kinda rankles that new customers pay the ...
